Dear Friends,
This evening, Sunday, March 22nd, please join the WMC for our evening of online mindfulness practice.
After sitting meditation we’ll read Beginning Anew, watch a portion of a video dharma talk, and have an opportunity to practice dharma sharing. The entire program will run about 60 minutes total.
Faced with the war in Iran and the difficulties many sangha members are confronting, we will suspend the dharma talk we have been following, and instead listen to a 12 minute answer by Thay to a question: Facing ongoing wars waged in our name, how can we transform fear and anger into peacemaking?
We will listen to the first half of Thay’s answer this coming Sunday and conclude the following Sunday.
This update may also be helpful: our dear friend Kaira Jewel will be offering WMC a dharma talk on Sunday April 26. She will be reflecting on how to navigate these difficult times? What do we do when there’s a war, with many people suffering, and with different viewpoints about the war?
If you’d like to join us but don’t have the Zoom link details, please write to us at wmcsangha@gmail.com and we’ll tell you what you need to know.
Our Sangha is supported by dana - donations given from the heart. Your generosity is a gift that supports the Vihara, WMC expenses, the library, and your own practice. Part of your tax deductible donation also goes to help the Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation (which helps support our monks and nuns in monasteries around the world and also helps continue to spread Thay’s teachings everywhere) and automatic monthly donations can be scheduled at our website:

We’ll see you this Sunday! 🙏🪷
Love, Steve
